Lindy's color challenge February 2020

A close-up of the spread. I wrote the text with the Posca marker

Yay, I finished the spread number two in my art journal dedicated for the Lindy's color challenge. This time I tried to keep it flat and simple-ish.

Starting off by adding Pebeo's masking gum. I even remembered not to use the best brush

Painting the background with Lindy's magicals

Next painting the flowers and adding more coral color

Stenciling some stitches with 13arts primer and Tim Holtz's stencil. I also used the stencil with a wet baby wipe to create those shadow-like stitches

I made the stitches look distressed by pressing a scrap paper over the partly dried primer. After complete drying I gave the background more color with the magicals

I used the Posca marker to draw the flowers. I added Distress paint and dots with the grey marker to the center of the flowers. Also colored some of those stitches with the grey marker.

Adding stamping and darkening the edges with the black ink
