Lindy's color challenge April 2020

A closer look on that mermaid.

I am entering the Lindy's color challenge with this art journal spread. Not a flower theme this time, although the star like shapes were die cut with the Marianne designs' little die from the smaller poinsettia set.

Stamping on the background with IO stamps' herringbone stamp.

Coloring with pink and purple. The white cotton yarn was soaked with colors.

Close-up on that yarn effect. Not sure if I like that wormy look.

Splatters with the teal.

Multiple layers of teal on the papers. The leftover color was added to the yarn.

I needed a new torso and the other hand. Oh, and a head too. So I had to mix a new batch of skin color.

Giving details and shading to the fish tail and to the bikini top (which looks like a bottom).

The mermaid is almost done. I wish I had left the face blank.
